Founder's note
Texas has the talent. It should be easier to find.

I created CreativesInTexas because hiring creative and production talent should begin with the work—not with who understands a platform's algorithm, who bought the highest placement, or who happens to be inside one person's network.
Texas has production companies, filmmakers, photographers, designers, audio professionals, event teams, marketers, and specialists in communities across the state. The challenge is not a lack of talent. The challenge is making that talent visible in a way that reflects how creative work is actually hired: by craft, market, experience, availability, trust, and the quality of the portfolio.
My own background in production shaped the directory. A useful profile needs more than a name and a category. Clients should be able to see what someone did on a project, watch the reel, review images and case studies, understand the services offered, and contact the creative or company directly. The people doing the work should own the relationship.
That is also why the production side of this site matters so much. “Creative” is a broad word, but productions are built by specific departments. Producers, directors, camera, grip, electric, sound, art, wardrobe, makeup, casting, editorial, color, VFX, studios, rental houses, and support services all deserve to be discoverable by the names the industry uses.
CreativesInTexas is beginning as a founding directory, and it will become more useful as professionals across the state add their work and help define their local markets. We will favor accurate profiles, real examples, direct communication, and accountable trust signals over empty scale.
If you are hiring, I hope this helps you find the right people and evaluate them with more confidence. If you are a Texas creative or production professional, I hope it gives your work a permanent place to be found.
