About Brian Galyean

My name is Brian Galyean. My normal rates start at 10 hours ($850) for labor and $450 for basic kit, includes two lavs and a boom with recorder.  More info is on my website and I am willing to negotiate my rates and kit rental fees for longer running projects. With that said I am not the cheapest option, but I will get you the best sound recordings possible.  My sound kit includes a Sound Devices 664 Mixer/Recorder, Wisycom and Lectrosonics Wireless, a Sound Devices Mix Pre 6ii and a mix pre 6i  for smaller scale jobs and vehicle kit, Sanken and Sennheiser shotgun mics, Sanken and DPA lav mics as well as Time Code Slate and locket boxes. 24 IFB Listeners for producers. I can provide everything you need to capture the highest quality sound possible for any project.  I have worked on large budget productions like Netflix Dirty Money, Paramount Pictures feature Nina, starring Zoe Saldana and Mike Epps, to smaller indies starring Sean Astin, Louise Diamond Phillips, Glenn Morshower, Ashley Green and more. I have mixed many feature films over the years, numerous documentaries, TV shows, interviews and commercials. My most recent Television experiences have been for Paramounts Dutton Ranch, Food Network, Discovery Channel and Showtime. Commercial work for Jack in the Box, WWE, Tumi, and Panera Bread. Documentary work recently for Netflix and Green Day. Fast paced days are not an issue and I work well under stress. I do love to have fun on set but at the same time stay professional and courteous.  Please let me know if you have any questions I can answer. I am a dependable crew member who will make long days on set seem shorter.  I have a great sense of humor and love animals. My mom says people really like me.
